Minimalist Wall Light | Nordic LED Sconce, Warm or Cool White | Orbis

Geometry Meets Warm Illumination

The Orbis Wall Light is built from two shapes that could not be more different: a tall, slim matte black stem and a large circular acrylic diffuser, with a small gold globe set as a counterweight at the opposite end. At 48 cm high and 21 cm across, it has real vertical presence, filling the awkward stretch of wall beside a bed or a doorway that most sconces are too small to hold.

Why You’ll Love It

It is supplied in left-facing and right-facing versions, which matters more than it sounds. Buy one of each and you get a matched pair either side of a bed; buy a single and you can orient the diffuser towards the room rather than the corner. The integrated 7W LED behind the acrylic ring produces a warm, low-glare glow that outlines the shape of the fitting and washes gently down the wall.

Because the LED is built in there is no lamp to buy, and at 7W it is inexpensive to run for long evenings. The body is iron with an acrylic diffuser and a gold-finished accent; dust it with a dry microfibre cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners, which will scratch acrylic. It is a hardwired wall fitting for dry indoor rooms and needs a qualified electrician to install. Hallways, bedrooms and dining rooms all suit it.
